It's nice to have rent checks coming in every month, and so long as you keep your maintenance costs at a reasonable level, you can sustain a high profit margin for years. In my experience with tenant screening services, I've learned that you get what you pay for. I know that most people are hard-wired to seek the best bargain they can find, but that is definitely the wrong approach for this type of situation.
